As you already know I work for Polar for couple of years now. Recently they started writing a blog for Croatian readers in order to better explain what they do, how they do it and why.

I’m not a Mac user or an Apple fan as long as other “hardcore” mac users. I switched in January 2008. Very soon I’ll have my first Switch anniversary :D .

So normally once I did switch and saw the wonders that Apple has to offer me I wanted to share my joy with others around me. Unfortunately I had no one to share this joy with. The friends I have all use Windows and on top of that they don’t really care much about technology, gadgets and other stuff that is currently a hot subject around the world. So I ended up alone sharing my joy only with my girlfriend (she is really cool and supportive when it comes to gadgets and me, and she became an Apple fan as well).

I was very busy last two weeks, not with work but with studying for my exams. That is why I was little online recently (a lot of people didn’t understand how this is possible).

The only really important and significant thing has that happened was Ivana’s commencement. She finished the first “level” of her degree in time, and now she has only two more years left until she will finishes college for good (the lifetime learning process doesn’t count here :D ).

Couple of weeks back I stumbled upon Rovio, a nice little robot with some great features. I knew about it before, but I saw it as a pricy web cam on wheels then. Well, basically it still is a web cam on wheels today as well :) but now I want it! I neeed it!!!

I don’t need Rovio specifically as much as I need and want to have some kind of a robot at home. I want to control it with my computer and let it cruise around when I’m not “playing” with it.
It would be also great if I could have some kind of interaction with it like voice commands and stuff.

I must confess: Hello, my name is Darko and I’m lazy bastard when it comes to studying.

Ok, maybe the word “lazy” is to harsh for me because I do remove my self from everything else physically and start to read and learn stuff, but this lasts only for about 10 minutes. I just have a tough time concentrating on the subject I have to study.

Just came across a new Google service (at least it is new to me) called Google Alerts. Basically it monitors the Google search index for a specific search term you entered and notifies you when something new comes up about that term.

All Saint’s day…. for me that was one of the most scariest days in the year.
I didn’t see it as a day when you should remember your loved ones who are not with us today and pay them respect, it was mostly the reminder of death to me. The reason for this is that I didn’t lose anyone until this year and could remember it, so I didn’t really have any memories of the people who I visited on the cemetery with my family.

You know that feeling when you work the whole year, and then at the end of the year you feel exhausted like never before. Like every time when you pushed your self over the limits to finish something comes to payment then.

Usually people would kill that feeling with food, Christmas stuff and too much sleeping (aka relaxing)…. and then they would get drunk on the New Year’s Eve party and think that from tomorrow their batteries are charged and that they are ready for new victories and new pushing over the limits in the new year. I had this some routine until now. However this year I wanted something special. I wanted to go away… to relax, try some stuff I usually don’t do and let others take care of me like I was an emperor. I worked my ass through the year so I could spear some money for such a vacation.
