USB Hubs addict

If you followed my earlier posts you could see that I have “a thing” for all kinds of gadgets. But the most interesting thing is that I’m almost addicted into getting new USB hubs.

I really don’t know why. It’s not like their speed, performance or something else changes drastically through time like with other gadgets. Basically there are two types of USB hubs on the market now (powered and non-powered) and this was the case in the past year or so as well. But still, since then I had to purchase a couple of them while I really didn’t need them.

By now all old USB hubs were lucky because they were put in use somewhere else in my household, and only 1 was stored away because it had a neon blue color and was USB 1.0. compatiable.

The last one I purchased was a 7-port Trust’s hub, and while I had enough usb ports at that time with my current hub it seamed reasonable (to me at least) to add this one to the table as well just in case 7 of my friends came at once and wanted to transfer some stuff via usb sticks from me :D.

I really thought that this would be the last USB hub I will purchase this year, but I was wrong.
While additional USB ports can’t interest me any more in purchasing a new hub I complete forgot that design could. And recently I saw a couple of very nice looking USB hubs that I would rather put on a shelf as some geeky figures then use them for transferring data. So again I found my self in a situation where I’ll have to feed my addiction and spend money on things I don’t really need that much (or at all).

Please let me know that I’m not the only one with such a problem!?

And here you can see some of the USB hubs that caught my eye:

1. The green man

3. Cat hub

Here is one of many resources where you can find some additional cool USB hubs.
