I’m almost done…I switched 2/3 of my family (I mean the part that care about technology, so my father is not included). 

My mom was the first one to “crack under the pressure” of windows system. We tried to find out what was wrong, but with no success, and every time I reinstalled here system within a week she would have some kind of “adult material” popups all around the screen :D . Then I suggested her to switch to a mac and shown her the “lamp” iMac and the rest was history. Today, for the first time ever, she is using e-mail, web browsing, iTunes, and much more, and all that thanks to Mac Os X.

 

 

After my younger sister had a couple of system crashes as well while I was out of town, my mom suggested that we get a mac for here too so such stuff stopped happening. So I used Christmas as an excuse for getting another mac. I bought an old PowerMac G4 to be her entry mac. I don’t need to say how excited she was when she saw the mac for the first time in her present box (biiig box :) ). Since Christmas she has been playing with it all the time and the only problem was she had no Internet connection, as there was no Airport card in this mac. So I ordered one generic WiFi card that is recognized as an airport card and today it has finally arrived. Ivana had the honor of upgrading the hardware and she has done a great job.

Now I only need to switch my other sister to use a mac… and as it looks finances are the only obstacle for this to happen at the moment :) .
